Adventures in Thrift

Okay, to make up for my polka dot bench blunder, I've picked up a few new pieces.  They always inspire me to think creatively and get back to the tasks at hand!

So I hit the Salvation Army and scored these.  I'm getting much more discerning with my selections, these are all super solid wood in fabulous condition.  Like this chair...I see it being painted in a fantastic colour to really balance the simple, clean lines.

This table happens to have the exact same legs as my first sale, the Sweet Blue Bedside Table.  I'm thinking I might add a little paper detailing to the front, even though it's not a real drawer.  Some fantastic new hardware will really dress it up as well.

And I couldn't resist this magazine rack.  This one's for me to keep, I think I'm going to spray it in the Bahama Sea blue and take it out to Gimli to stash the zillions of magazines I read while I'm at the lake!

Have you been thrifting lately?  Any great finds?

  1. Great buys! I love the table, is has a great shape to it. It would look awesome with some glazing to show off the details.
