Two sweet years....

Two years ago yesterday, this happened....

 Thank you Jack for being the best thing that ever happened to me. You're the love of my life, my best friend, my partner-in-crime and now my co-parent to be.... As Kelly Clarkson said 'my life would suck without you'.

Here's to many, many more days of watching bad TV, figuring out what to cook for dinner, living in a constant state of renovation and teasing each other for all the little things. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Our 1st Anniversary!

One year ago today....

We said 'I do'! 

For our 1st anniversary, we got all dolled up....

....to enjoy the Fort Garry Hotel's Grand Brunch (you gotta love a man who doesn't blink twice when you load your plate with 5 desserts!) and reflect on a year of ups and downs, highs and lows and an even stronger relationship for making it through everything. We renovated our bathroom, added Henry to our family, I changed jobs, we took our honeymoon in the Florida Keys, lost a beloved family member, bought another rental property that we renovated and rented in 36 days....whew! I get tired just thinking about it all. 

I'm so glad I have Jack to go through this journey called life.

Wedding Pics: The Photobooth

I hope you're all having a great week! Thanks so much for your kind words and support as I try to find my blog/life balance! I feel better just knowing that YOU all know I won't be posting every day...I'm going to shoot for 3 times a week for a while. I also starting taking a restorative yoga class (a-mazing!) and reading Dr. Oz's You on a Diet (I like the idea of eating to fuel our bodies and optimize their performance!). So baby steps....

As promised, I still have wedding pics to share with you! These are by far my fave of the bunch because they show me how much fun our guests were having that special day. We had our photographer set up a photoboot at the venue and let everyone loose...it was by far the hit of the wedding! Here's a few of the shots...

Wedding Pics: The Ceremony

Hey all! Happy Wednesday....here are some more wedding pics to share with you. The ceremony was such an amazingly special part of the day. I walked the aisle with both my mom and dad and Jack's cousin Tim performed our ceremony (which we all wrote together). It was in a lovely outdoor wooded area, the perfect backdrop for our vows.

Isn't my neice Hailey the cutest as our little ring bearer? I made her ring holder from vintage craft books, pieces of my grandmother's wedding lace and twine - I'll share a closer look and DIY instructions in another post!

Jack's business partner Graham played an acoustic version of 'I will follow you into the dark' by Death Cab for Cutie as I walked in.

Jack got a little teary...which made me teary...

During the ceremony, Jack's budding rock star nephew played and sang 'Grenade' by Bruno Mars for us...he definitely stole the show! Plus I love how he rocked a hat because his uncle Jack was!
