Style Peek: navy dress + cream cardigan

Hey friends...it's been a long weekend with lots of ups and downs but I feel okay. Thanks again for your supportive comments, it was very sweet of you to reach out. Today was J and Gus's birthdays and it was so nice to spend time with my boys. Gus got a full blown grooming (by me!) and J and I had a lovely dinner out. Now I'm watching the season finale of the Bachelorette (guilty pleasure! isn't Ashley way too insecure??) and prepping for back to work tomorrow. I hope you all had a good weekend?

I'm sharing an outfit I wore on Friday and some may recognize it as my engagement photos/shower dress! I actually had it custom made by the local seamstress who's making my wedding dress and I can't tell you how amazing it feels to wear a dress that's made to fit for your body. I swore I would do all I could to get lots of wear out of it - so here it is paired with a creamy cardigan and a more casual woven belt. I feel pretty great in this dress, I must admit. I had my first wedding dress fitting last week and I can't wait to wear it...exactly one month tomorrow - yeeks!

Navy eyelet dress - custom made by local seamstress
Cream cardigan - Gap
Woven belt - Zellers
Brown leather flats - Aldo

Today I also posted the very first 'The Story Behind...' showcasing Blue's vintage jewellery holder. Be sure to check it out and I hope you'll submit your own fave things, just send a pic and your story to lhume1@mts.net.

Have a great night friends and a great day tomorrow!
