Style Peek: hearts dress + cropped cardigan

Just a quick pop-in to introduce you to my favourite new dress! Picked up this sweet little number on the weekend at Forever 21 for under 30 dollars and I couldn't be happier. It fits me absolutely perfect, hitting in all the right spots. It's not too short (hazard of being tall) AND it's going to transition perfectly into fall with tights, boots and cozy long cardi's! Plus it has teeny tiny hearts on it...so cute! This my friends, is what's called a 'pot of gold purchase' - a real winner in the closet...here's hoping you find many pots of your own!

black and white hearts dress - Forever21/Faith21
cropped green cardigan - Gap
gold flats - Steve Madden

I take my pictures in the morning before work (hence the coffee cup prop which is not actually a prop) and I happened to have a hair appointment after work. I was horrified to discover my stylist would be leaving town for a family emergency during my wedding (hey! I'm allowed to have one bridal meltdown, aren't I??). Luckily, the awesome salon owner Jason who works right next to my gal will be taking over my appointment and reassured me he'd take care of me. Whew, crisis averted. We did a little test run on my proposed wedding-day style after my colour was done...what do you guys think? I know it's simple, but I really just want to look like myself on the big day!

Also, my Style at Home arrived today - eeeeeek!!!! So exciting to see my article in print....

Hope you have a lovely rest of the week friends!
