Happy Weekend to You

Yay for Fridays!  I'm so pumped it's the weekend.  How about you?  What are you getting up to?

Right now J is cooking us some hot dogs on the bbq (lazy Friday dinner!) and we're awaiting the arrival of our 6 month old nephew Wyatt and our 10 year old neice Hailey.  Yes, we're reporting for babysitting duty while my sis and her hubs go on a little date.  Think we can handle them?

I'd like to send a special shout out to Flo, who brought to my attention an amazing discount sale at Michael's on the cutest knobs.  I bought out the last 8 or so they had left...

They are going to look so cute on a dresser with a splash of colour.  I can't wait to use them, just waiting for the perfect piece of furniture!  I also picked up these cute ceramic balls for a little 'family' representation.

And these adorable little notecards...I love love the one with the piece of furniture! (of course)

Tell me about your weekend...doing anything fun?

Have a good one!

  1. WHAT?!?!?! Michaels has more knobs? I got some there a looooong time ago but I've never seen any since.
Have fun squishing those chubby cheeks!

  2. Oh, they are adorable!! How cute is he in his little hat, lol!

Those knobs are sweet, I think I will head over to Michaels and try to find some. This afternoon is my shopping day, groceries and the craft store, so perfect timing to read this post.

    Happy weekend :)

  3. What awesome finds! You'd think I would be more aware of all that is available at Michaels since my mother-in-law works there. I wish they'd open one in our part of the city.

  6. I also picked up some of these vintage finds at Michael's -- my daughter has a fascination for vintage typewriters and fonts, so I bought the cards and stickers for her. And did you see the keys? If only there were more hours in the day...
