Before and After: Beach Stripes Coffee Table

This simple little coffee table I've been working on had a bad case of the blahs.  I've been really wanting to try a chevron pattern with paint, but I thought stripes would be a great first step.

After the usual sanding and priming, I painted the whole piece in a pale greenish-bluish grey colour.  Then I did my stripes in a slightly darker blue grey.  They were both mistints from Benjamin Moore and they ended up working really nicely together.  I did some slight distressing to finish the piece off and give it a little bit more of that relaxed beachy feel.

I'm super tickled with how it turned out!  In case you're wondering how it was done, I'm also putting together a stripes tutorial that I'll have ready for you later this week.

If you live in the Winnipeg area and want to bring a little 'beach' into your home, you can purchase the Beach Stripes Coffee Table from Lather Creations here!

Have a lovely Sunday evening friends!
