They definitely needed a little zest, so I decided to pair gorgeous Skinny laMinx fabric I picked up on Etsy with a bold lemon colour for the chairs (thanks for the suggestion!) in CIL's Swedish Green (it's so not green). The bright paint colour definitely required extra coats for full coverage, I might try a tinted primer next time I go this bright.
Yes, overall it's a little outside my normal colour palette but I was up for something fresh and new. It's definitely not for the neutral-lover, but I hope to find the perfect home for these guys! Someone who truly loves colour...I think they'd be perfect for a small eat-in kitchen with a rustic little wood table.
I'm dying to know what you think...too bold? Just right? The cushion was quite the project, I replaced the insides with 2" high density foam for a comfy seat but that stretched my fabric allowance to the limit. So note to self - measure fabric WITH bigger foam cushion. It all worked out but it was tense for a few minutes!
If you live in the Winnipeg area and think your dining room would not be complete with Lemony Blue Bistro Chairs, you can buy them here!
