Style Peek: Blue

Oh friends. I'm having one of those days. I know I haven't talked a lot about my Weight Watchers journey but I'm 7 weeks in now. I've had good weeks and bad weeks and lately it's been feeling like 2 steps forward and 1 step back. This is difficult because I feel like I'm trying SO HARD. If I was slacking it wouldn't be so bad but I'm being very regimented while trying to make long term lifestyle changes and I honestly thought I would be further along by now....alas, this is making me feel not so hot today. Which I why I can't even manage a full style peek. Would you settle for a half?

I am definitely not giving up, because that's lame. You can't quit just because something's hard, right? So I will continue to plug forward and keep loving trying to show myself love by honouring my creative self, my sense of style, my health.  This blog feels like the place where I can be myself, show off my best and share my insides. Thank you for listening.

Peasant Blouse - Old Navy
Jeans - Gap
Flats - Aldo
Necklace - American Eagle Outfitters

Tonight I will continue to cook healthy, keep my chin up and get lots of beauty sleep.

How do you look after yourself when things are blue? How do you carry on with your goals during small setbacks?

  1. Hang in there Lenore! Push on thru the tough days~you will have more energy and will feel so much better down the road. I've been making diet and exercise changes since January, am down 22 pounds and many, many inches! I still have some tough days, but it's so worth it to keep going and not get discouraged! Remember, you are so worth this!

  2. I am on my own weight loss journey and I know how tough it is - you have good and bad weeks! It has taken me 6 months to lose 6 kilos, so it is slow going but I think it will be worth it in the end. Sounds like you have a great attitude - goodluck!!

  3. I just finished a 10-week slog on Weight Watchers and lost 12 pounds. You just have to doggedly, stubbornly fight hunger for hours every day. You will be rewarded a thousandfold. Being thin (ner) is the best anti-depressant in the world.

  4. When the things are blue I'm just trying to give myself more time on something I love (like hobby or movies and such) and less time on what I dislike (like cleaning the house). It usually helps. Good luck with your weight loss journey!

  5. that's a tough one. sadly (or maybe not so sadly), a trip out shopping usually peaks me up! even just a cheap pair of earrings or a necklace makes me feel better. hang in there and treat yourself somehow! you deserve it!

  6. Whenever I feel a bit down I usually find it helpful to try to relax and clear my mind. There are too many stresses in life and maybe it would help to have a pampering night to yourself! I would take two birds' advice and treat myself by buying some new bubble bath soak, sugar scrub, mud mask, pretty scented candles and a rich body butter and try them all tonight! : )
