$5 find!

One of my favourite parts of furniture upcycling is treasure hunting for sturdy, interesting and well-priced pieces of old furniture.  And with Lather Creations just starting out, it doesn't get any better than $5!

I found this little gem of a table at the Salvation Army.  It's durable, solid wood and has a lovely curved top.  It needs a good sand job, one table leg is decorated with children's stickers!  For this one, I'm thinking of trying out one of the distressing techniques I found in my new painting book that I picked up a few weeks ago.

I'll keep you up to date on how it goes!

PS:  Happy 4th of July to all my friends south of the border!  Hope you are enjoying your holiday!

  1. What a gorgeous table! My family loooves scooping up cool things from the Salvation Army--in fact, my grandparents have a nickname for the store: The S&A boutique! :)
