As you know I'm a huge fan of Swanky Swell fabrics, textile designer Nina does the most amazing modern prints. I picked up this lovely cream and navy fabric from her 'Heritage' organic collection. I also tried my hand at custom colour-mixing my own paint and I think I did a pretty good job of getting a soft cream to match the print. A little distressing to create a vintage yet modern vibe and some finish to seal it all up. I'm loving this one! What do you think?
I'm also having great fun playing around with Photoshop and all the amazing things it can do!
It feels so good to be back in the painting groove, watch for more projects in the coming weeks!
If you live in the Winnipeg area and you are head over heels for the cream bench, you can buy it here.*UPDATE - The bench got snapped up and it sold! Or if you have an old piece of furniture that could use a Lather Creations refresh, email me at lhume1@mts.net and let's talk!
Have a great day friends!
