In my twenties, I search high and low for a club chair to do my reading. I had always wanted one and I thought they were the perfect antidote to my often-overly girly style. I found one many years back at Homesense on a deep discount and I've loved it ever since. There's something about chocolate brown leather that just ages so nicely. I hope to have it for years to come!

If leather's not your thing, there are amazing overstuffed fabric versions out there. I quite love this more feminine and curvy version of the club chair with it's lovely sage green uphostery. The wood base is a nice touch too!

So THAT'S what those are called! They are indeed perfect for curling up in with a blanket and a good book. I have one with a high back that I call my "main chair". I use it as a latter... :) I should buy a latter...

ReplyDeleteSnow, how pretty it must be! We don't get snow where I live. I imagine it must be so cozy to curl up in your chair with a warm throw, a cup of hot chocolate, a good book and a fire in the fire place. That sounds heavenly. We have a club chair in red leather. It's my favorite chair.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love those chairs...my mom had one in her house that became known as 'my' chair and it was my favourite place to sit. I can't wait to get a good comfy one for my own place.

ReplyDeleteI justified my Awesome Chair splurge by buying it for our nursery when B was born. As soon as we're done with it in there, though, it is sooo ending up in my office/library :)
When club chairs are covered in fabric this lovely, they're just right! But don't forget an footstool to make the blanket/book/cuppa scene extra comfy. Love the blog!
