Thursday Blog Share: Paper Source

I'm head over heels for the awesome online store Paper Source.  Their tagline is 'do something creative every day', which I totally love and try to incorporate into my own life!

Since I do a lot of work with paper detailing on my furniture, I'm contstantly searching for great paper to use.  To date I've worked mainly with scrapbook paper and wallpaper.  But someone recommended using Japanese paper because of it's high durability and strength PLUS the amazing printed designs.  So then I stumbled upon Paper Source when I saw it being credited for several cool paper projects that caught my eye.

Here's a sneak peek at some of the papers I ordered:

They also have a blog with lots of DIY projects and interesting new paper products here.  Check it out if you love all things paper or are looking to order something new!

Have a great Thursday friends!  In the words of Paper Source - try to do something creative every day!

You've got Mail!

My business card cozy just arrived in the mail from Destination Handmade!  Yay, who doesn't love getting mail (I know, I've tooted mail's horn before!)?  I must say that my first Etsy purchase gets an A+ from start to finish.  I especially love the experience of getting a package like this.  It's almost a series of delightful little steps.

From getting the post and feeling that tingle of excitement...

To opening it up and finding it wrapped in pretty packaging...

To unwrapping another layer and finding a sweet note...

To pulling out the note and taking a peek at a the business card...

To putting my own cards in and taking my new business card cozy for a test run...

Love it!!

Thank you Etsy and Destination Handmade for making my day.  I will be an Etsy shopper for life!

Etsy Love: QA Create

As a writer by trade, I love anything to do with old typewriters (except typing on them - ha!).  That's why I love QA Create's Etsy shop.  This little shop specializing in niche, artisan jewellery and recycles lost and forgotten things in order to turn them into something lovely.

I'm certainly not needing any new jewellery these days, but isn't it fun to covet?  I especially would love to get this pendant with my initial in an old typewriter key.

They also sell cufflinks for the guys...like these industrial-style ones made of old watch parts.

And these wine tags made out of old typewriter keys...

Isn't that darling?  What are you coveting for fall my friends?

Happy 1st day of September!
