The Things you Love

Happy Friday friends!  If you're stopping by from Bon Bon Rose, a warm welcome to you!

I'm lazing around at home today, having taken a little vacation day for no reason other than to relax.  Of course this means I'll be:
  • Working on furniture, finishing up a commission for a client and tackling a bedside table
  • Watching lots of HGTV
  • Cuddling with Gus the pup
  • Taking a long walk around my neighborhood to check out a few new shops that have opened up
  • Having a cup of tea with an old friend to talk about anything and everything
I'll keep you posted on progress but for now, I leave you with this oh-so-important message...

We all have the things we must do, but life just seems sweeter when you're able to fit in things you love.  Because isn't that what it's all about?

What's your idea of a great vacation day?  How do you fit in the things you love into your busy schedule?

Have a great day!

Thursday Blog Share: Poppytalk

I love finding Canadian blogs, what can I say?  I'm a Canuck through and through.  Plus I often find some of the resources are a little more accessible to me, which is cool.

Today I'm sharing my new find Poppytalk.  It's a design inspiration blog filled with scrumptious recipes, handmade ideas and exciting new developments in homes, style and design, with a focus on putting the spotlight on emerging talent.

They also have sister-site of sorts  Poppytalk Handmade, which  acts as an online curated artist market with rentable space for crafters and artisans to share and promote their goods.  It's a wonderful hodge podge of inspired talent and amazing creativity!

I loved browsing through all the unique offerings, it's great to check out a site that's put together by many artists - so many great points of view!

Have a lovely Thursday my friends.

Hello! It's Wednesday!

It's a busy day but I thought I would just stop and say a quick hello!

I had lunch today at a great new restaurant with a fantastic old friend.  Isn't that a great combination?

Kawaii Crepe serves up ecclectic combinations of sweet and savoury crepes in Osborne Village.  I picked the chicken, bacon, cheese and ranch, and we shared a Fruitella with nutella with strawberries and bananas for desert.  The crepes were rolled into user-friendly cones and were delightfully crunchy on the outside and warm and chewy on the inside.  Yum!

Are you a lover of crepes?  What's your favourite filling?

Hope you're having a great day and talk to you soon!
