Mod Cloth

Did you know you could buy fabric on Etsy?  Some of my recent projects have been recovering stools and benches, and I've been finding that a good selection of modern fabrics are hard to find here in the city!  I usually end up going to Fabricland but there are some independant shops on my list to visit.

But ordering online is a whole other option.  Most of these are original and hand silk-screened.  I love the artistry of textile design!  Here's a few of my faves...

  1. Love the spoon/fork one!

Mitchell Fabrics (on Main I think) should be on your list to visit in Wpg. They have some really neat vintage prints and also some nice modern stuff. More unique than Fabricland. Worth a visit for sure.

  2. I was just coming to say the same thing that Brooke mentioned - check out Mitchell Fabrics. I've been meaning to do it for awhile now, but from what I've heard they carry a better selection than Fabricland for sure!

  6. Mitchell fabrics is a definite must! My FAV fabric shop by far. Also, you should check out Economy Textiles. They have wicked deals. Not the same selection but the best prices. :)
